A team of nine B&Q employees from across the UK are heading to Norwich on two wheels today.
They are on the second leg of a week-long 700 mile charity bike ride to raise £20,000 for Shelter.
The team started yesterday (Friday) as they departed from the B&Q store in Risbygate Street in Bury St Edmunds and are cycling 93 miles to reach their next destination, the Norwich B&Q Store.
Spending at least six hours in the saddle every day, each rider will burn 28,000 calories during the seven day cycle-athon which ends on Thursday, April 26.
Steve Gilbert, lead cyclist for the B&Q team, said: “This is absolutely the biggest physical and mental challenge any of us has taken on as we’re not professional cyclists, but it’s going to be worth it.”
