Actress Claire Goose, best known for her television roles in Casualty and the crime drama, Waking the Dead, is to wed her TV producer/scriptwriter boyfriend Craig Woodrow next year.
The couple, whose engagement was announced at the weekend, are looking at locations along the North Norfolk coast for the nuptials planned for around September 2007.
Last night Claire's parents, retired doctor David Goose and his wife, Joy, spoke of their delight.
“We are absolutely thrilled with the news. We are very pleased for both Claire and Craig. They are both in the same profession and have lots in common,” said Mrs Goose.
Claire, 31, who grew up in Norfolk, returns to her parents' home at Dersingham as often as her work commitments allow.
News of the wedding comes after a busy couple of years for Claire whose exploits included running the New York marathon and swimming with dolphins.
Claire played the role of Detective Mel Silver in the successful police drama, Waking the Dead for four years.
She left the show when her character fell to her death from the top of a 70-foot high building.
