A Norfolk teenager has been shortlisted for an international film award for a movie he shot with his pet dog.
Will McGregor, 19, of East Rudham, near Fakenham, made it to the final few in the Cinemagic National Young Film-makers 06 award with his short "Follow the Scent".
The tale of how one brave dog tries to recover a flock of prize chickens from rustlers, was written, directed, edited and produced by Will and the university student travelled to Belfast in November for its screening at the Coca-Cola Cinemagic World Screen Festival.
The film has also been shortlisted for other awards and shown at the National Museum of Photography, Film and Television and the Halloween Short Festival.
The star of the piece is Will's dog, Hector - who has since died - and was made using equipment borrowed from Fakenham College.
The Cinemagic award celebrates the most promising young film-makers under 25 from across the UK and Ireland.
Will said: "My ambition is to stay true to my style and not to give into Hollywood-style sell-out film-making."
