Chelsea Munday, 19, secured two golds, a silver and a bronze medal in various categories at the Kick Boxing World Championships in Portugal.
The College of West Anglia (CWA) student said: 'I don't really make a big deal of things like this but I am really proud of what I have achieved.'
The sports science student trains for up to eight hours a week with the British Chinese Kickboxing Association in Peterborough.
Sara Edwards, sports development officer at CWA, said: 'This was the first world championship that Chelsea had competed in, so naturally she was a little nervous at competing as she knew the other competitors would be extremely strong and talented.
She added: 'Everyone at the sports campus is extremely proud of what Chelsea has achieved at such a young age. The future is looking extremely bright for her.'
