1 Take an 'Impossible Quiz' Eastertide is one of the most popular weekends of the year at Kentwell Hall and Gardens. Join around 100 costumed Tudors celebrating Easter Tudor-style, attempt the Impossible Easter Quiz for a chance to win a huge chocolate egg. See spring bulbs and blossom across the gardens, crack the children's Easter egg trail, join a storybook trail in the gardens and a heffalump hunt on the farm. And alongside the heffalumps there are lambs, chicks, piglets, goats, cows and horses. Kentwell Hall and Gardens, Long Melford, Sudbury, Suffolk, 11am to 5pm until Monday, April 17.

2 Groom a donkey Donkeys take centre stage this Easter at the Redwings visitor centres at Aylsham, and Caldecott Hall, Fritton, near Yarmouth.The We Love Donkeys events run from 10am to 4pm, Friday to Monday, until Monday, April 24. Find out more about donkeys, enjoy an Easter quiz trail and even have a go at grooming a donkey.

3 Ride a Falcon The Museum of the Broads, near Stalham, has a craft trail, with Easter themed prizes, 10am to 4pm, until Wednesday, April 19. The steam boat, Falcon, also runs Tuesday to Thursday.

4 Become a nature detective And discover Gressenhall's wild side this Bank Holiday Monday. Gressenhall Goes Wild runs from 10am to 5pm at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse, near Dereham. Find out more about the animals and insects that call Gressenhall home, take a guided tour and explore the woods, including messy fun and natural crafts, meet local nature detective Stuart Burgess to find out what tadpoles, backswimmers and other pond life are up to this spring. Look inside the butterfly and moth enclosure, and use a sweep net to explore what makes its home in the long grass of the orchard.
There are some even wilder animals in the Animal Experience mobile zoo, including snakes, lizards and tortoises. Find out what you can forage from hedgerows, watch The Wacky Woodturner turn timber into bowls, mushrooms and dibbers, sow a runner bean in your own newspaper pot plant and make a beautiful butterfly to take home.

5 The egg hunt (of course)Don't miss the boat for the Caister Lifeboat Station Easter Egg Hunt. It runs until Monday, April 17.
Children can enjoy following a trail around the historic lifeboat and shed to find their way to a chocolate treat at the lifeboat station on Skippers Walk, Caister-on-Sea, near Great Yarmouth.
6 Cuddle newborn lambs It's the biggest event of the year at Baylham House Rare Breeds Farm.
The Easter Speggtacular includes the chance to cuddle newborn lambs, and maybe even see a birth – and children get in free on Easter Sunday if they are wearing seasonal fancy dress.
There is also an Easter treasure hunt, and plenty more animals to stroke and feed, including Baylham's own Easter bunnies. And enjoy grooming pigs and goats, building dens, play areas and a barbecue showcasing farm produce.
It runs until Monday, April 17, 10am to 5pm, at Baylham House Farm, Baylham, near Ipswich.
Normal admission charges, with free entry for children wearing an Easter costume on Easter Sunday.

7 See a Festival of Crosses You've heard of Christmas crib and tree festivals, now St Mary Magdalene church in Pulham Market has a Festival of Crosses from tomorrow, Saturday, April 14, to Friday, April 21. The church, on the village green, will have a display of decorated crosses on display from 2.30-4pm on Saturday and 11am-4pm from Easter Sunday onwards. Free entry.
8 Attend a concert A family concert at Snape Maltings, Snape, near Saxmundham, on Sunday, April 16, features the Britten–Pears Orchestra performing The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra, narrated by Marin Alsop. Introduce children to the breathtaking power of a live orchestra on Easter Sunday at 2pm. Tickets £5-10. And there is also an Easter egg trail around Snape Maltings, running from 11am to 4pm.

9Get up at dawn If you love Easter so much you wish it could last longer, then how about starting the day at dawn? Some churches hold beautiful sunrise services on Easter Sunday. In Norfolk, sunrise services will be held in the picnic area beside St Mary's church, Happisburgh, overlooking the sea, and in the ruins of All Saint church at Little Ryburgh, near Fakenham, both at 5.45am. And in Suffolk a sunrise service will be held on Thorpeness beach at 6.45am, followed by communion and breakfast in the Country Club opposite. St Thomas' Church, in Ipswich, will hold its sunrise service at 5.30am in Broomhill Park.
10 Go duck racing! An annual Easter Monday duck race will be held close to beautiful Wymondham Abbey.
Races start at 11am at Becketswell, just down the road from the Abbey, near the Tiffey Bridge and Mid Norfolk Railway. The £1 ducks, plus stalls and refreshments, will raise money for the church.
