An estimated 1,600 homes were left without electricity for more than an hour following widespread power cuts earlier this evening.
Homes in Thorpe St Andrew, Costessey and Sprowston were among those affected by the cuts, which were caused by an underground network problem in the NR7 area.
The problem was initially reported at 5.40pm, with homes remaining without electricity until 7.05pm.
UK Power Networks had said on its Twitter account: 'We are aware of a large power cut in the NR7 area. Our engineers are due to arrive at 6.30pm and we hope to have the power back on by 7.30pm.'
