With less than two weeks to go until the start of the 11th edition of Latitude festival a new wave of performers have been announced to appear across the festival weekend this summer.
Announced to joining the stellar comedy line-up is comedian and writer Phil Ellis, as well John-Luke Roberts and Anna Savory who will be joining Robin Ince and Josie Long for the Festival Shambles special with Reece Shearsmith and Rufus Hound.
Further additions have also been announced to perform at the Film and Music Arena including British director Ken Loach who will be in conversation with Mark Kermode, chief film critic for The Observer during the festival , held between July 14 and 17,
The Film and Music Arena will welcome one of Britain's best loved, most respected directors Ken Loach who will be in conversation with Mark Kermode, chief film critic for The Observer. This event will run alongside the film Versus: The Life and Films of Ken Loach; presented by Sheffield Doc/Fest – a surprisingly candid documentary of Loach's work, and a playful study on the process and struggles of creating such a unique career and body of work.
While Literary Arena line up sees new additions such as Nick Hopkins; Head of Investigations at The Guardian, who will be in discussion with the already announced Ewen MacAskill in an event entitled From Snowden to the Panama Papers: The Revelations, chaired by Paul Bede Johnson CBE.
As well as comedian Shappi Khorsandi will be introducing her debut novel- Nina is Not Ok, in interview with Viv Groskop.
