Agents Savills today confirmed that Prince Harry has not snapped up Water Hall, near Wighton
Prince Harry is not buying a £3.6m mansion in the North Norfolk village of Wighton, it was confirmed today.
National newspapers today ran a story saying that Water Hall, near Wighton, boasting seven bedrooms, a swimming pool and no neighbours, had enticed the prince because of its proximity to Anmer Hall, where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge live.
But a spokesman from country house agents Savills in Norwich, selling the property, confirmed today that this was not the case and Water Hall is still very much for sale.
Norfolk, with its number of large properties boasting luxury living but seclusion too, is indeed an appealing choice for celebrities - Hollywood movie star Johnny Depp was rumoured to have bought a home in Burnham Market which also turned out to be untrue.
Water Hall would definitely suit a Royal lifestyle, however. It offers three reception rooms as well as an annexe and cottage all situated with river frontage in a peaceful and private position within the Stiffkey Valley.
