Spam sandwiches were the order of the day as the Breckland village of East Harling got in the VE Day party mood on Saturday.
East Harling village hall was full of people of all ages as residents gathered to examine wartime exhibits, such as hand grenades and German binoculars, and read local memories from the Second World War, including one from John Riseborough who remembered seeing a German plane attack a train between Harling Road and Eccles.
Residents dressed as airmen, Winston Churchill and a general, while children played games as more than 100 prepared meals, including spam sandwiches, were enjoyed.
