Do you agree with Mike Read's remark that there are too many blue plaques?

Blue plaques are familiar sight in the UK. They signal a link between a place and a famous person or historic event.

This week the head of the British Plaque trust himself, Mike Read, said there are 'too many' commemorative plaques across the country.

With 70 blue plaques in Norfolk alone (and many more green, black and brown plaques), there's certainly no shortage of them.

Norfolk hosts blue plaques dedicated to individuals ranging from Sherlock Holmes author Arthur Conan Doyle to Italian Job star Michael Caine.

But how many of them can you recognise and complete? Take our interactive quiz and find out.
