Benchmark of history at High Kelling

High Kelling has had a 25th birthday this year. By a government order made in January 1987, the civil Parish of High Kelling was created on 1st April 1987 out of parts of Bodham, Holt and Kelling parishes.

To record and celebrate this, a new bench has been placed outside the village hall. District councillor David Young unveiled it with former councillor and clerk Henry Cordeaux and Geof Knights and parish council chairman Carol Otty. Pictured are – seated David Young and Carol Otty; standing Geof Knights (left) and Henry Cordeaux.
