The Memories of Lynn exhibition, which tells the story of how King's Lynn has changed from the 1960s through to the present day, has attracted over 6,000 visitors as it has toured around the town.

Project officer Laura Cole-Matthews said: 'We've had an excellent response to this exhibition, with literally thousands of people coming to see the photographs on display.

'The images have evoked a lot of memories and people have been keen to share them with us.'

The exhibition used people's memories and photographs of living and working in King's Lynn since 1960, in order to show how the town has evolved and changed constantly.

Richard Searle, council cabinet member for regeneration, said: 'King's Lynn grew significantly in the 1960s when many companies and families from London moved into the area.

'From the photographs and memories that people have shared with us, we have been able to see the benefits that growth has brought to the town as well as learn lessons for managing development and expansion in the future.'

The exhibition will be on display at the Lynn Museum, from January 22 until June 18, 2011.
