As Halloween approaches you might be tempted to simply head to the supermarket to purchase that all important pumpkin, but why not head out to one of these great locations across the region and pick your own...

White House Farm, Rackheath, NorfolkThis 300-acre arable farm on the outskirts of Norwich has its very own pumpkin patch from which you can select the perfect pumpkin for you. Once you've made your choice, the pumpkin is placed on the scales and the weight of your chosen squash determines the price. The farm also has a selection of fresh apples and pears ready to be picked at leisure with no minimum spend. As well as offering pick your own, White House Farm will be running a range of seasonal events this month including an Autumn Magic Workshop on Thursday, October 27 where guests can learn to create a table centrepiece in a pumpkin and children's pumpkin decorating sessions during the half term week.

Hill Farm, Norwich, NorfolkThis farm in Norwich has a large field boasting pumpkins of all shapes and sizes. Prices here start at £1 for a small pumpkin and range to £4 for larger pumpkins. On Saturday, October 22, the Farm Shop will also be holding a special event in the pumpkin field where families will have the opportunity to take part in a special Halloween photoshoot thanks to Perfect Pose Photography. Costumes are optional and for the £20 price you will receive five 7x5 prints.

Undley Pumpkin Patch, Beck Row, SuffolkA great day out for the whole family, Undley Pumpkin patch is open every weekend in October from 10am until 5pm for pumpkin picking. As well as a pumpkin patch the site contains other attractions such as a maize maze, bouncy castle and children's craft area. During half term week children will also be able to get their faces painted and go on donkey rides. Pumpkin prices start from £1 and range to £6 depending on size.
