One reader thinks the area of Hemsby needs more help.
I feel sorry for the people of Hemsby. They now have to put up with bureaucratic, complicated official procedures. It's very irritating.
I doubt if anything will be done before they have to sweat over the spring tides next winter. The Dutch would have solved the problem they have years ago. People have lost their homes and land. That is a disaster. When a disaster happens abroad, the dear old UK digs deep into the foreign aid kitty. Come on guys, charity begins at home.
Also, a promise of a few million from the National Lottery wouldn't go amiss. They can't say this is not a good cause. After all this is public money yet we never get a say where it goes. The sea wall built years ago has worked, ie Walcott. Get the job finished before 50pc of Norfolk becomes a estuary.
