Families, community groups and homeowners had their say on the future of Attleborough at an exhibition of the town's emerging neighbourhood plan.
Dozens visited the town hall over the weekend to view the Attleborough Neighbourhood Plan (ANP), a legally-backed document which will have a hand in shaping the town's future development.
It was the public's chance to have an input into the ANP - which has been formed over the last few years by councillors, community groups and volunteers - before it moves to the next stage.
Tony Perkins, deputy chairman of Attleborough Town Council and member of the ANP steering group, said: 'We had a great turn out which was really encouraging.
'This was a great opportunity to talk to the residents and show them what work has been done to date.
'We took lots of comments and also some concerns from the public and these will be reviewed, analysed and if possible be included in the neighbourhood plan.'
He said that the plan, which is currently in a draft stage, will progress to a formal consultation in November.
It hopes to offer solutions to the town's traffic congestion woes, improvements to health and social care and updates to sports and leisure facilities, as well as looking at how extra school places can be provided.
Attleborough is earmarked for 4,000 new homes before 2026, a figure which will see the town effectively double.
It has led to concerns that the town's schools, doctors surgeries and employment will not cope with the increase.
