Real-ale enthusiasts will be packing their bags for Yarmouth so they can savour top tipples at the resort's Yarmouth Beer and Cider Festival this week.

Real-ale enthusiasts will be packing their bags for Yarmouth so they can savour top tipples at the resort's Yarmouth Beer and Cider Festival this week.

Now in its third year the event, organised by the Blackfriars Brewery, will be held in the Priory Centre, next to St Nicholas Church, from Thursday to Sunday.

As well as a wide array of brews, members of the Salt Box comedy club will be performing on Thursday night and Yarmouth's Melting Pot Cabaret will be appearing at lunch- time sessions.

During evenings, live music will entertain the beer-loving crowd.

Blackfriars owner Bill Russell said: 'With our biggest selection of beers and ciders yet, great entertainment and hopefully some nice weather, it should be a resounding success.'

t Tickets are available on the door priced �3 for lunchtime and �4 for evening sessions. The festival runs from 5pm to 11pm on Thursday and 11am to 3pm and 5pm to 11pm from Friday to Sunday.
