A newsagent is set to close after 40 years in a seaside town.
Martin's in Wells, run by the McColl's Retail Group, is set to shut its doors for the final time on Friday, September 13.
The shop premises, situated on Staithe Street, are thought to have been home to a newsagent for the last 99 years.
A spokesman for McColl's Retail Group said that, despite attempts to keep it open, the company had been left with no option but to close the store.
They added: "Having explored all options, regretfully we have taken the difficult decision to cease trading at the Martin's store in Wells-next-the-Sea. The store's last day of trading will be Friday, September 13.
"We are saddened to no longer be operating the store and our priority has been to support all affected colleagues."
News of Martin's' closure serves as a severe blow to the town after Nobby's revealed its last surviving shop - also on Staithe Street - would shut for good later this month.
The family-run business once had discount stores across the county but, with its Sheringham branch having closed in 2017, the Nobby's name will soon be no more.
