An acclaimed biographer who shines a light on the life of a famous children's author is holding a live book event.
Ann Thwaite will be signing copies of her new book, Goodbye Christopher Robin: A.A. Milne and the Making of Winnie-the-Pooh, at Diss Publishing Bookshop on Mere Street on Saturday, September 23.
Fans of the writer will get to meet her from 10am-1pm.
The book is drawn from Thwaite's acclaimed biography of A.A. Milne.
Milne was one of the most successful English writers and created the enduring characters of Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet,
Tigger, Eeyore and Christopher Robin.
The fictional Christopher Robin was based on Milne's own son and Thwaite's new book offers a glimpse into the relationship between father and son.
Goodbye Christopher Robin recounts the true story that inspired the film, which bore the same name.
