A north Suffolk arts venue is celebrating a coup after renowned comedian and broadcaster Phill Jupitus agreed to spend an evening at Wingfield Barns.

The television personality, who is a regular on Never Mind the Buzzcocks and QI, will be appearing at the barns to talk about his new book, Good Morning Nantwich, and the English love affair with breakfast radio.

The event, one of a series of regular literary evenings at the venue, will take place on Friday, January 14, at 6.30pm.

It comes after officials used online social networking to land the booking.

Lesley Jackson, general manager of Wingfield Barns, said: 'We are very excited that Phill is coming to Wingfield.

'He appeared on TV saying that he was organising his national tour and asked venues to get in touch with him on Twitter.

'We tweeted him and he tweeted us back.

'We know everyone who comes along will have a terrific evening but please book soon as tickets are going fast.'

Tickets, which include a 10pc discount on the book, are 10 and are available by calling 01379 384505.
