Big boat, little boats, old boats, solar boats, sail boats, power boats, paddle boats and model boats, the Norfolk Broads has all manner of ways to enjoy life afloat.

We may know about the woman who proved the Norfolk Broads weren't what everyone thought they were, but what about the women who had to stay home in case a car wanted to cross the railway line? We find out more.

Standing seemingly miles from anywhere, some of the few man-made features in a wild countryside of marshes and water, there's something iconically beautiful about the mills of the Broads. And without these old workhorses, the Broads wouldn't be the same.

They did much more than make flour! Mills were used for everything from grinding cement ingredients to moving water, and we can find out more during an annual milling celebration.

Rolling and tumbling and playing in the water, or floating on their backs and enjoying the sunshine, there's always plenty to enjoy when there's an otter about. The Broads has so much wildlife to admire; it's just a matter of knowing where to look.
