People of all ages have sent in all manner of brilliant entries for our competition to design the GoGoHare sculpture which will sit outside our Norwich office next summer.
The lucky winner will see their idea painted by a professional artist onto the EDP and Evening News-sponsored hare which will be one of 50 colourful characters dotted around Norwich for the GoGoHares art trail organised by children's charity Break and Wild in Art.
We have been absolutely inundated with great ideas, and now we would like our readers to get involved with choosing the winning design.
Our panel of judges has selected 20 finalists and we will be revealing them in our paper over two days on Thursday and Friday this week. They will then be put to the public vote in an online poll on our website which will open this Friday. The results of the public vote will help to inform the decision of who should be the ultimate winner and also the top five entries who will be presented with a GoGo figurine.
Eastern Daily Press and Norwich Evening News editor David Powles said: 'We have been absolutely delighted with the amazing ideas that readers have sent in for our GoGoHare competition. The standard has been extremely high and our judges have had a really difficult task choosing just 20 finalists.
'We are looking forward to revealing the final 20 later this week and seeing what our readers think of the great designs.'
The GoGoHares trail is following in the footsteps of the GoGoGorillas! and GoGoDragons! trails which decorated our fine city in summers 2013 and 2015.
Our previous GoGoDragon! competition was won by John Checketts whose idea saw the characters of St George and the dragon become one, meanwhile Sally Adams won our GoGoGorillas! competition with a Superman-inspired design.
The GoGoHares trail - which is marking Break's 50th anniversary - will run from June 24 to September 8 2018. In addition to a trail through Norwich, there will also be some different moongazer hare sculptures spread around the county. A GoGoCreate trail of leaping leverets designed by local schools and community groups will also run through Norwich.
