A host of shows and events are set to help draw thousands of people to north Norfolk this year with a year-long programme of entertainment for all ages.

Alongside the traditional carnivals and agricultural shows, there will also be art exhibitions and musical entertainment from some famous faces, hosted at stunning venues along the coast.

April 15 and 16 - North Walsham Live Aid. This will mark the 11th year for the charity music event which takes place at the Community centre in the town. Tickets will go on sale in February 2016.

May 6-8 Folk on the Pier 2016 - Held every year at the Pavilion Theatre on Cromer Pier in Cromer, Folk on the Pier is a highly regarded showcase for the finest folk, and folk-rock acts from the UK and beyond.

May 21-22 Crab and Lobster Festival a weekend of food, fun and music celebrating the importance of crabs and lobsters to Cromer and Sheringham.

June 25 - September 10 - the ever popular Cromer Pier Show returns with two shows this year, one running from June 25 until September 10 and another running from July 9 through to September 7. A combination of both shows will also run from September 13 - September 24.

July 7 - August 7 - The Cley 16 Contemporary Art Exhibition. Cley 16 is an open submission contemporary art exhibition in St Margaret's Church, Cley and surrounding sites.

July 2 and 3 - Lobster Potty festival, Sheringham, with dozens of morris dancing sides from across Britain performing on Sheringham high street.

July 23 - 31 Holt Festival with diverse music and theatre performed across different town venues.

July 30 and 31 - Worstead Festival which will be celebrating a host of family fun around the village in its 51st year.

July 30 - August 7 - Sheringham Carnival

August 7 - 12 Mundesley festival - This 33rd year of the festival looks forward to bringing six nights of great entertainment to Mundesley

August 13 - Last night of the Blickling Proms. In the fifth year of the Blickling Proms the Brit Award winning harmony trio Blake will be performing with Sinfonia Viva, hosted by Conductor Roderick Dunk.

August 13-17 Cromer Carnival week with Carnival Day being held on Wednesday, August 17.

Past carnivals have included a host of fun events for all ages including the traditional parade through the town on carnival day, music concerts, stalls, car shows and skateboarding competitions.

This year the event includes an exhibition of more than 400 works of art and craft by more than 90 artists and seven schools and community groups, which will run at Cromer Parish Hall from May 27 - June 1.

Most items are available for sale and proceeds will go to Cromer Carnival.

August 29 - Aylsham Show with the best of Norfolk's agriculture and food at the event which is held on the Blickling Estate.

September 17- 18 North Norfolk Railway's 1940s weekend.
