THREE big names are due to switch on the Christmas lights at The Mall Norwich: comedy dance duo Stavros Flatley, X-Factor singing sensation Eoghan Quigg and Father Christmas himself.

Father and son duo Stavros Flatley achieved cult success with their unique act after they appeared on Britain's Got Talent earlier this year, reaching the finals.

They will be taking the stage to perform their latest routines, and family favourite X-Factor contestant Eoghan Quigg will sing a selection of songs.

Father Christmas will be making a personal appearance with his hard-working elves.

The switch-on will take place at 7pm on November 12, with the festivities beginning at 4pm. Afterwards, the acts will meet shoppers.

Other activities through the evening will include a visit from Santa's reindeers, a wandering magician, face painting, Heart Angels and the Mall Monster giving out goody bags.

The Holiday Inn Norwich North will be serving mulled wine and mince pies, while shoppers will be further entertained by local Christmas choirs and Heart FM's Toby Anstis. Late night shopping will continue until 9pm.

The Mall will also host a Christmas craft market from November 30 until Christmas Eve. Stalls will feature a host of handcrafted produce from jewellery, ceramics and Christmas cards to handmade decorations and personalised gifts.

On display will be a selection of locally produced goods, including beers and handmade soaps.

The craft market will take place during normal opening hours and will be outside Boots on level one of the centre.

The Mall's gift-wrapping service will be available from December 12 to 23. Volunteers from Clic Sargent will be on hand to wrap festive gifts, with all donations going to the children's cancer charity.
