Musicians from the Norwich-based Academy of St Thomas will be joined by saxophonist Finlay McEwen for a concert on Saturday.
The concert will be at St Andrew's Church, in Hingham, at 7.30pm and will be conducted by Matthew Andrews. The programme will include the Saxophone Concerto by Glazunov, Rossini's overture The Italian Girl in Algiers, Schubert's Symphony No. 3, and Malcolm Arnold's Serenade for Small Orchestra.
Soloist Finlay McEwen was the winner of Norfolk Young Musician 2013 and is now in final year of study at the Guildhall School of Music in London. The former Norwich School pupil has also been a member of the County Symphonic Wind Band and the Norwich Students Jazz Orchestra.
