Is it even Christmas if you haven't watched Elf? There's a heartwarming musical treat in store for fans of Buddy the Elf. Yes now, Arctic Puffin.

Son of a nutcracker! Elf is back on the box!

The hit film starring Will Ferrell has been given a musical makeover by Salford's Lowry Theatre and Channel 5 is bringing the whole shebang to a screen today on Christmas Eve's Eve at 5pm.

Based on the beloved 2003 hit, Elf is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy's enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth.

With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas: hooray! For fans of the film, I fear it won't be on any of the big channels or Netflix, but it is available on Amazon Prime Video.

To get you in the mood, let's look at some nuggets of wisdom from Buddy the elf. And if you don't feel festive after reading these, you're a cotton-headed ninny-muggins and you sit on a throne of lies.
