West End stars who appeared in the stage and screen version of Les Misérables passed on their skills to budding performers at a community theatre.

Musical actors Killian Donnelly and Fra Fee led the half term workshop at Sheringham Little Theatre yesterday for the children and teenagers who will be putting on their own version of the musical in the town centre venue.

The Sheringham Little Theatre Youth Group show will be performed between April 11-19.

Killian, 29, who has written the last two pantomimes for the Little Theatre, said: 'We want to give them an idea about how we were directed and taught the show in the West End. Kids really relate to Les Misérables. The show has got juvenile characters in it and they take to the emotion of the story.'

Killian appeared in the stage show between 2008-2010 and became involved in Sheringham Little Theatre after he was contacted via Twitter by the teenage daughter of theatre director Debbie Thompson in 2012.

Katie Thompson, then aged 14, saw him in a West End show and asked him about writing a pantomime script for the Little Theatre, after finding out he did that as well as performing.

Fra, 26, appeared in the Les Misérables stage show in 2010 and was a student in the film, alongside Killian.

She added having a visit from West End performers was 'a dream come true' for the youngsters.

The show includes a cast of 36 and come from across north Norfolk and beyond Norwich.

Budding opera singer Zaira Palumbo, 19, from Parana Road, Sprowston in Norwich, plays Fantine and said it was brilliant to learn from the two professional performers.
