Walking On Cars, a five-piece Irish rock band, took to The Obelisk Arena stage to entertain a sizeable crowd of festival-goers who were out braving the rain showers.

With a debut album that received international success and hit number one in Ireland, Walking On Cars arrived on stage with confidence despite the slight delay in starting due to potential storms.

Even when the band were faced with further technical difficulties a few songs into their set, they all stayed completely professional and carried on like nothing had happened once they had been resolved.

Despite not having the largest following of all the acts billed for Latitude, Walking On Cars brought infectious amounts of energy to the stage which resulted in a really decent crowd gathering to watch them perform.

Their blend of guitars, drums, keys and synths created a sound that was absolutely perfect for the main stage and would easily be suited to arenas all across the UK.

Lead singer Patrick Sheehy is an absolute credit to the band, dancing around the stage for the whole duration of their performance. He gets visibly lost in the music and completely captivates you when you watch him. His voice is powerful and packed with passion and completely note perfect throughout.

It was a shame when the set ended but it was the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
