Singers and acoustic musicians are needed for a new series of 'unplugged' music nights planned in North Walsham.

The informal, monthly evenings run by Arts North Norfolk will be held in the charity's shop at 1 Market Place.

Each evening will feature showcase sets by two or more local established performers as well as giving new, up and coming singers or musicians the chance to perform in front of a small audience – perhaps for the first time.

There will also be time for those attending to discuss their music, swap ideas, make new contacts and possibly jam together.

Organiser Brian Gaudet, who will also compere the evenings, said: 'We are happy to welcome anyone performing any style of music or song – as long as it is acoustic.

'As well as cover versions we hope to present local songwriters or instrumentalists who perhaps have not had the chance to play in public in the past,'

Soft and alcoholic drinks will be available and there will be a small entrance fee to cover costs.

Anyone interested in attending or taking part in the unplugged evenings – due to start in March – should contact brian.gaudet@btinternet.com
