Drama-loving students at the University of East Anglia have called in the experts to make sure their latest production is as historically accurate as possible.
They recruited Prof Malcolm Gaskill, one of the UK's leading authorities on the history of witchcraft, to explain the context of Arthur Miller's The Crucible for the cast.
The play tells the story of the Salem witch trials, and draws parallels to the paranoia of the Cold War era.
Director Cameron Tucker, 19, said the production would be 'one of the most historically true and accurate' stagings of the play.
It is playing at the UEA Drama Studio tomorrow, Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm.
