A series of gigs featuring some of the biggest names on the Norwich music scene kicks off at the Waterfront on February 5. Bands such as Lot 55, Monroes, Tin Man and the Kabeedies are lined up to play the three nights.

Headline act for the opening gig are London-based My Luminaries, who have been likened to Pavement and Arcade Fire. Support comes from Norwich-based Tin Man. Completing the bill are Vanilla Kick and the Interpreters.

The series continues on Thursday February 21 when the ska-inflected Monroes top the bill. Also appearing are the Uh-Ohs, the Great Shakes and Skeleton.

The final night takes place on Thursday March 13 with Lot 55 and the Kabeedies. Headliners Lot 55 have built a following with their melodic brand of indie rock, while EDP/ Evening News Next Big Thing winners the Kabeedies have been championed by Radio One's Huw Stephens and recorded sessions at the BBC's legendary Maida Vale studios. Also on the bill are the Fens and Rupert.

Tickets for each of the gigs are £5 in advance from the box office: 01603 508050, from Soundclash on St Benedict's Street, or £7 on the door or online at www.ueaticketbookings.co.uk
