Have you already made your plans for Valentine's day? Here's a look at some of the great events taking place around Norfolk on Valentine's Day for all to enjoy.

Wingman, Maddermarket Theatre, Norwich, 12-16 February, £6

Cupid is the God of attraction, but when it comes to finding romance in his own life, he's constantly shooting himself in the foot. With Valentines Day fast approaching, could love at first flight be just around the corner? Following on from Edinburgh Fringe 2017 sell-out show Guy Fawkes It Up!, Laughing Mirror present Wingman by Chad Porter, a brand new comedy about dating, Dionysus and dairy-free desserts.

Speed Dating, All Bar One, Norwich, £20

Friendly professional hosts will greet you and they will settle you in by briefly explaining the format, then speed dating will get underway for the remainder of the evening. You will normally get between 12 and 15 dates, but it can reach up to 20 dates. Any more and you would probably be exhausted. What is the aim? Of course to find someone you like, but most of all to have fun trying something new.

Competition: Declare your love with an illumination on Norwich Castle

How would you like to see your personal declaration of love projected onto Norwich Castle on Valentine's Eve? VisitNorwich, with Norwich BID, are opening a call out, inviting you to send the 8 words you would like to light up the city, which - in some way or another - convey your love for someone very special. It could be a proposal, a poem, or meaningful words - as long as it's short, sincere, and suitable for public consumption, we'll consider anything. The message will be revealed onto the castle at 6pm on February 13, where the winning couple will be presented with champagne, chocolates and flowers. Valentine's Gala Dinner and Entertainment @ Number 47, Norwich, 7pm-12am (last entry 7:30am), £39.99

If you are saving your fanciest ball gown for a special occasion, that's your time shine. Celebrate Valentine's Day in style at OPEN with a very special evening featuring glorious food and the chilled out acoustic sounds of special guest Bill Downs (The Voice, X Factor). A glass of prosecco will welcome you on arrival, before being seated in the Banking Hall which will be transformed into a romantic dining room complete with dance floor, where you can enjoy a specially created seven course dining experience for two, followed by a romantic slow dance to finish the evening off in style.

An Evening of Love and Chocolate & Half-Term: Chocolate Fun! The Museum of Norwich at the Bridewell, 13-14 Feb, 6-8pm & 10am-4.30pm, prices vary

For those who love chocolate, the Museum of Norwich at the Bridewell brings two events dedicated solely to that. On Valentine's eve you can spend the evening learning about the history of chocolate and enjoy some chocolate tasting! Next day, on Valentine's, the 'Half-Term: Chocolate Fun' event invites you to follow the cocoa bean trail and make a chocolate box or Valentine's card for your loved one. Booking is essential.

The Elusive Jack Valentine, Time & Tide, 11am-4pm, normal admission prices apply

A special afternoon for who would like to hear all about the Norfolk legend of Jack Valentine, make your loved one a card to celebrate and enjoy a treat along the way.
