The Voice UK is returning to Norwich to hold open auditions for the next series.

Producers for the ITV series will be in the city on Thursday April 19 on the hunt for the next winner of the show.

A promotional poster for the auditions states: 'Do you think you've got what it takes to turn a chair? We are on the lookout for incredible singing solo artists and duos for The Voice 2019.'

Auditions are to be held at 3.30pm at The Garage, on Chapelfield North, and those auditioning are asked to prepare a song acapella or with a backing track.

Norwich singer Chris James, 28, made it onto The Voice after he applied for the show 'as a joke' when auditions came to Mr Postle's Apothecary in Norwich last year. He was soon invited to London.

He made it onto Team Olly after singing Prince Ali from Aladdin during his blind audition but failed to make it through the battle rounds this weekend after losing out to Holly Ellison, 24, when the pair performed the Meat Loaf classic 'I'd Do Anything For Love'.
