An array of community and school choirs joined forces to form the mass choir, and they wowed the crowds in the Grand Ring during this year's closing ceremony with their debut performance of Things Grow, a new song created to mark the show's 2017 theme of Celebrating the Arts.

The closing ceremony also featured members of the emergency services, armed forces and voluntary groups.
The song Things Grow – a celebration of Norfolk, the countryside, and our whole planet – was composed by Cheryl Frances-Hoad with lyrics by Molly Naylor, and the Showstoppers were led by choirmaster Mark De-Lisser from TV's The Voice. Soprano Emma Nuule also accompanied the Showstoppers in the Grand Ring and led the singers in a performance of the national anthem.
