Vocal harmony group The Overtones have announced they are playing a show in Norwich next year.

The five piece band, made up of Timmy Matley, Mark Franks, Lachie Chapman, Mike Crawshaw and Darren Everest will be in the city on March 3 at the UEA LCR.

Discovered by a talent scout while singing during their tea break as decorators in a shop near in London, they have gone on to have four top 10 albums and have so far sold more than half a million copies of their debut album.

They have enjoyed a succession of major achievements, including performing in front of 250,000 people at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Concert, appearing at the Festival of Remembrance, and playing at Wimbledon.

The UK tour will follow a special Christmas tour featuring songs from their most recent album Good Ol' Fashioned Christmas.

• Tickets cost £25 and are available from Friday August 11 via the UEA website.
