One of the rising stars of the British music scene is the next act revealed in the star-studded Thetford Forest summer concert line-up.

Pop group The Feeling, who were Brit Award nominees for Best British Single, will play at High Lodge on Thursday, July 12.

The group was the most played band on the airwaves in 2006 with their hits Sewn, Fill My Little World, Never Be Lonely and Love It When You Call.

Twelve Stops And Home, the group's double platinum album, has sold nearly 700,000 copies.

Roger Woods, from the Forestry Commission, said: “We are delighted The Feeling has confirmed this show. They are rising stars of the British music scene and will undoubtedly be a huge hit in our forest.”

Band member Dan Gillespie Sells said: “We're really looking forward to the show. Last year we played a few festivals but people didn't really know our songs. I'm hoping that'll have changed this year.”

The Feeling is the fourth act to be announced for Thetford Forest's six concerts this summer.

Blondie will appear on Saturday, July 14, Brit Award-winning singer-songwriter James Morrison on June 7, and Scottish group Travis on June 8.

Tickets for The Feeling cost £24 and go on sale on Thursday, March 8 at 9am.
