One of television's favourite soap stars will be heading east for Lowestoft's Christmas and New Year pantomime.

The Marina Theatre will be staging Cinderella, starring Anne Charleston as the Fairy Godmother. Anne has millions of fans thanks to her roles as Madge in long-running Aussie soap Neighbours and more recently as Lilly in ITV's Emmerdale.

Her numerous panto appearances include leading roles in Aladdin, Cinderella, Dick Whittington, Jack and the Beanstalk, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White.

She will be starring alongside children's television performer Dave Benson Phillips, as Buttons.

Cinderella will be produced by UK Productions - the company behind a string of hit West End and touring productions including the stage version of Disney's Beauty and the Beast.

It will run from December 10 to January 3 and is to feature a number of schools' performances along with family tickets and an early bird booking offer with savings on seats bought before the end of September.

Seat prices start from 5 each, and there will be a special signed performance at 7pm, on Wednesday, December 30.

Tickets for Cinderella are now available from the Marina box office on 01502 533200.
