Saturday February 13

•Tom Thumb, Norwich Puppet Theatre, 11am-11.50am & 2.30pm-3.20pm, £8 per ticket.

The very first folk story ever printed in English in 1621 mixes a legend set in the times of King Arthur with Celtic folklore. This tale of the smallest hero in the world is told with puppetry, music and design for 4-9 year old children and their families.

•Woodland Experience Day, Oxburgh Hall, 10am-2.30pm, £8.50 per child.

Spend a day at with the Oxburgh Ranger as you explore the woodland on the estate. Learn how to coppice trees and get stuck into some bush-craft activities. Ticket price includes a drink and marshmallows for toasting. Children under-12 must be accompanied by an adult.

•Star Night, Fairhaven Woodland, 7pm-11.30pm, £3.50 adult & £2 child.

In partnership with the Norwich Astronomical Society, the grounds of Fairhaven will be open for a night of stargazing. Bring your own telescopes as you look into the night sky of Norfolk with a talk from TV astronomer Mark Thompson. Tea, coffee and cake will be available in the tearoom.

Sunday February 14

•Viking Festival, Sheringham, 11am-5.30pm.

Viking's take over Sheringham in the culmination of the town's Viking Festival. Activities on offer include storytelling, a slave market and battle reconstructions. At 5.30pm a Viking parade will make its way through the town before the burning of the Viking ship at West Prom beach.

•The Elusive Jack Valentine, Museum of Great Yarmouth, 12pm-4pm, Price included in museum admission.

On the most romantic day of the year find out the truth about the old Norfolk tradition of Jack Valentine who is said to disappear into thin air after knocking at the door and dropping off gifts. There will also be the chance to make a Valentine's Day card and receive a gift of your own.

•I-Spy Trail, Wells & Walsingham Light Railway, First train departs Wells at 11am, Fares start at £5.50.

As children board the steam train they will receive a nursery rhyme themed I-Spy activity sheet on arrival and will need to try and spot the answers along the track as they ride the train between Wells & Walsingham.
