A broadcasting legend has postponed his visit to Norwich this autumn.
Sir Michael Parkinson was due to visit Norwich Theatre Royal on September 24 for a special show celebrating his life and career.
However this event has now been pushed back to January 30 2018 as the 82-year-old needs time to recuperate from a minor surgery on his back.
John Bultitude, of Norwich Theatre Royal, said: 'Everything will remain exactly the same but it is just a change of date. Our Box Office team will contact all bookers to offer a change-over of tickets. If they can't attend the new date, they will be offered a full refund.'
Sir Michael himself sends his apologies to the city audience. He said: 'I'm sorry to have to postpone and I hope everyone can make the new date. I'll be as good as new when you see me next. In fact I'm thinking of adding a dance routine to the show.'
