Next year's Norwich Film Festival is set to be judged by BBC radio and television presenter Edith Bowman.

The Scot will be joined by University of East Anglia film and television studies lecturer Dr Sarah Godfrey and the festival also has a new venue.

This year it was held at Hollywood Cinema, near Anglia Square, but in 2013 the festival will switch to Cinema City, in St Andrews Street.

A spokesman for the festival said: 'Sarah is a lecturer at the University of East Anglia and offers a local touch to proceedings, while Edith is well known for her presenting roles on BBC Radio One.

'Both are passionate about film and are keen to offer help and assistance to new filmmakers.'

The first new judge for the festival has already been confirmed as Jane Gull, who directed this year's Best Short Film category winner, Sunny Boy.

The deadline for submissions for next year's festival, which will be held during April and May, is Friday, August 31.
