The 15th annual Music Day on the green at Pulham Market this Sunday, June 25, also celebrates the 90th birthday of Dr Pat Rawlinson, founder of the event.

The 15th annual Music Day on the green at Pulham Market this Sunday, June 25, also celebrates the 90th birthday of Dr Pat Rawlinson, founder of the event.

The day starts with a peal of bells rung by St Mary Magdalene Ringers.

Bands and choirs taking part from noon to dusk will be local musicians the Jam Busters, who played at the very first Music Day, the Spitfires, from Archbishop Sancroft High School, Pulham School Choir, folk band Tamal, the South Norfolk Youth Symphonic Band, Paul and Robin (Pulham's answer to the Blues Brothers!), Cara Cleibh, a five-piece electric folk band, Dave Thomas Band (rock and blues), Sheets, Phat Jazz (one of Gill Alexander's bands who have played at each of the music days) and Malcolm's Revenge, making a welcome return with their blend of jazz, Latin, Cuban and much else besides.
