The UK's first cinema bar designed to attract people who have no intention of seeing a film will open in Norwich this week.
Norwich has been chosen as the UK launch-pad for Ambar, which will soon be appearing in Odeons nationwide.
Managers promise that the £250,000 bar, at the Riverside Odeon, will include the widest selection of quality red and white wines of any cinema bar in the UK.
Ambar manager Justin Holmes said: “What we have created is the UK's first genuine style bar inside a multiplex cinema, which is as fashionable as anything in the city centre.
“We are confident of seeing as many guests at Ambar just there for a drink or something to eat, as those going on to see a film.”
The bar will be opened on Tuesday September 5 by Big Brother contestant Imogen Thomas.
