Housewives favourite Peter Andre will be playing a gig at the Norfolk Showground this December that is sure to get the ladies screaming.

The celebrity pop star is playing at the Showground's exhibition centre on the evening of Saturday, December 10.

The 38-year-old shot to stardom in 1992 when his single Mysterious Girl reached number two in the UK music charts.

A number one album and two number one singles followed but it is his reality television antics that have kept him in the public eye. His relationship with glamour model Katie Price in the 2004 version of I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here led to their own reality series and tabloid fame when they divorced.

Debbie Younie, director of Dereham-based Unisoft Events, which is putting on the concert, said: 'We're extremely chuffed to have got Peter because I've been trying to book him for months.

'His management came up on Wednesday and loved the venue and said Peter is very keen to be able to play in front of fans that he has not before.'

The concert is part of a weekend at the Showground organised by Unisoft Events, following on from a Christmas Comedy Cracker the night before, Friday, December 9.

That will feature stand-up stars Jason Manford, Milton Jones and Ole, with tickets costing 30 per person, the same as the Peter Andre gig. The other act on the bill with Andre is set to be announced at the end of next week, when tickets will be released.
