Norfolk's Olivia Colman has been listed as the top female to replace Matt Smith as TV's next Doctor Who.
The two-time BAFTA 2013 award winner is a 14/1 outside bet with the bookies who put her ahead of former Doctor Who star Billie Piper.
Colman, whose real name is Sarah, attended Norwich High School for Girls between 1982 and 1990 and Gresham's School, in Holt, for her sixth-form years, between 1990 and 1992.
On Saturday night the BBC announced that former University of East Anglia student Matt Smith had decided to end his role as the Doctor.
Smith graduated with a degree in drama from the UEA in 2005 and went on to become the youngest ever actor to play the Doctor when he took over.
Ben Daniels is the current favourite to replace former UEA graduate Smith as the lead on the hit BBC series with Alexander Vlahos, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Damien Molony and James Frain also in the running.
Other notable names in the list include Rory Kinnear, Benedict Cumberbatch, David Morrisey, Philip Glenister, Russell Brand, Rhys Ifans and Damian Lewis.
