If you are looking for something to do with the children, or to just pass the time this weekend then have a look at some of the great events taking place.

To keep your children entertained over the holiday, why not take them to see The Smurfs 2 (U) at the cinema. These happy creatures return to the big screen with a tale of good versus bad, that is very suitable for young children. Smurfette (voiced by Katy Perry) has been kidnapped by the evil wizard Gargamel (Hank Azaria) for knowing a secret spell that will turn the wizards latest creations into real Smurfs, which prompts the rest of the Smurfs to take part in a rescue mission to Paris to save her. As with the first film all the Smurfs are computer animated, but set within the real world interacting with real life characters such as the wizard and ally Patrick (Neil Patrick Harris). This film is directed at young audiences with humour that will appeal to kids and occasionally parents.
