Rehearsals have been under way today as one of the world's most prestigious orchestras prepares to take to the stage in Lowestoft.
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra has returned to the town's Marina Theatre for the fifth year running and will perform the first show of the series tonight, conducted by Grzegorz Nowak.
The Edwardian theatre became home to the RPO in 2004 as the orchestra granted the Marina Theatre one of only three residencies outside London.
Ian Maclay, managing director of the RPO, said: 'We fell like we are coming back here to be among friends, and we hope the partnership will continue long into the future.'
Theatre manager Martin Halliday said: 'We're really proud to have the RPO here. To have the world's top orchestra resident in our town has already seen healthy audiences at each concert so far and tickets for the new season are in great demand.'
Other concerts in the series will include The Golden Age of Musicals on July 3, a celebration of English music on October 9 and a Russian Gala on November 14.
