Gressenhall opens its doors for the first time in 2017 this Sunday.
The 50-acre site offers many opportunities to take in the beauty of the early spring Norfolk countryside. A country trail leads through the fields and along the River Whitewater, a tributary of the River Wensum. Stroll around the orchard. The woodland playground is a world of adventure for children. Meanwhile the museum farm is run as a traditional Norfolk farm might have been between 1900 and 1930. The rare breed farm animals are all native to the region and include Red Poll cattle, Large Black pigs, Norfolk Horn sheep and traditional chickens and turkeys.

Slow paced ramble around the Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserve. At Norfolk's northwest corner, where The Wash meets the North Sea, Holme Dunes is superbly located to attract migrating birds. Suitable for beginners and experts. It is free, just turn up at Holme Dunes Visitor Centre with your binoculars. Children are welcome if accompanied.
Crane Talk & Walk

Guided walk offering a special insight into the life of the cranes that call RSPB Lakenheath Fen home. There will be a talk about this majestic bird's status in Britain followed by a walk around the reserve to see them. Price includes a hot drink, a biscuit and car parking.

Raveningham Gardens open in aid of the National Gardens Scheme. The 18th century Walled Kitchen Garden with its large glasshouses will be open and visitors will also be able to enjoy views across the new lake established at the turn of the Millennium and the contemporary sculpture in the gardens.

Discover more about the huge variety of wildlife and habitats in the Cley to Salthouse living landscape in north Norfolk.
