Lo-fi American indie quartet Cursive will be performing songs from their soon-to-be- released album Mama, I'm Swollen (out on June 1) at Norwich Arts Centre on Sunday (8pm).

Ever since Cursive burst on to the music scene with their 1997 debut album, the band has consistently and continually churned out heady albums heralded by critics and fans alike.

Their big breakthrough came in 2003 with the album The Ugly Organ. It landed them on the Arts section cover of The New York Times and accolades from Rolling Stone.

Cursive spent the next year and a half touring the album, playing Coachella before being handpicked by the Cure for their Curiosa tour in late 2004. They re-emerged with the adventurous Happy Hollow in 2006.
