The Norwich skyline will be alight with fireworks and the city bathed in colour at this year's Christmas lights switch-on, set for Thursday November 20.

This year's festivities will include the Norwich Young People's Theatre Voices Choir as they perform a mixture of gospel and traditional Christmas songs. The event will be hosted by Radio Broadland's Chris Marston and Travel Ange.

Youngsters wishing to send their letters to the North Pole can leave them in a postbox in the information tent beside St Peter Mancroft Church and Father Christmas will be entertaining children from 5pm on St Peter's Street.

The fireworks display from the roof of City Hall will be at 7pm, to coincide with the switch-on of the city's Christmas lights.

Extended evening bus services will operate from Norwich International Airport, Postwick and Thickthorn park-and-ride sites. The Sprowston, Costessey and Harford sites will operate, with last buses leaving the city centre at 8.30pm.

If you would like more information about buses, visit www.norfolk.gov.uk/parkandride or telephone 0844 800 8003.
