Rock fans will be able to enjoy live entertainment and bid for music memorabilia at a popular charity fundraiser this weekend.

North Walsham Live Aid is taking place at North Walsham Community Centre on New Road on Friday April 17 and Saturday April 18 and it will be the 10th year of the annual event.

Money raised from the auction and gigs will go towards the East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) £10m nook appeal, for a new music therapy room at its new Norfolk hospice, and Action for Children.

The Friday gig and silent auction take place between 8pm and midnight and the Saturday gig takes place between 7.30pm and 1am.

Bon Jovi tribute act Bon Giovi will be headlining the Friday night gig.

The band Blind Tiger will support Bon Giovi.

Spot, Raw Edge, Egypt, Blindside and Walkway will play on Saturday night.

About 30 rock memorabilia items will be auctioned off on Saturday between 10pm and 11pm.

The top items include a hoodie and T-shirt worn by pop star Ed Sheeran.

Barry Holden, organiser and founder of North Walsham Live Aid, said the Ed Sheeran clothes, donated by the celebrity to EACH, were a good boost for the auction.

Other items up for auction include:

? An original 1985 Live Aid special supplement and full size bass drum head decorated in a Queen style signed by Queen drummer Roger Taylor.

? Original 1960s Rolling Stones sheet music signed by Stones bassist Bill Wyman.

? A jazz style bass guitar signed by Lemmy from Motorhead, Mike Rutherford from Genesis, and John Illsley from Dire Straits.

? Personal drumsticks and a full size bass drum head signed by Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason.

? A Status Quo album signed by the band.

? A signed framed picture of The Jam performing, signed by original band member Bruce Foxton.

Anyone can attend the fundraiser and tickets cost £10 for either night or £15 for both nights.

Tickets can be bought from Jolly Roger Tattoo, Showcase Gallery, the Music Hut, Arts North Norfolk and Postles, all in North Walsham.

The tickets are also available on the door on the night but people should arrive early.
