A Norfolk festival will welcome a new concert to its ranks as it returns for a 23rd year.
The Wymondham Music Festival will be taking place from Friday, June 22 to Sunday, July 1 with a host of performers from around the country and surrounding schools.
Sounds of Summer is a new open-air event for this year that has been organised by Wymondham College student Suzie Heylings and the Wymondham Town Team.
The line-up features alternative rock and indie pop band Red Wine Talk, plus singer-songwriters Jordan Baker and Anna Carter as well as Fingers Crossed, a five-piece rock band from Wymondham High School.
Festival chairman Richard Elliott said: 'We have an exciting programme for this year's festival, featuring regular favourites like the Town Busking Day and Jazz Picnic, along with our new event at Browick Road Park, Sounds of Summer. We also have three concerts featuring local young musicians, including our annual Young Musicians' concert at Wymondham Abbey. I would like to thank our volunteers who make the festival happen and our sponsors for their invaluable support.'
There is a mixture of events throughout the festival to keep the whole family entertained with Town Busking Day, the Jazz Picnic with DixieMix at Becketswell as well as a Teddy Bears' Picnic for the under-fives.
Mr Elliott added: 'It would be great to see lots of new faces busking in the town centre on Saturday morning.
'This well-established event is open to all. If you have never tried busking before do come along and join in the fun.'
Wymondham Abbey will also play host to musical delights with a performance from lyric soprano Jessica Robinson. A number of recitals will be taking place including Archie Bonham, Norfolk Young Musician of the Year, Rob Goodrich and Katie Schutte, Julian Haggett and lute player Matthew Wadsworth.
The festival also stages three concerts for local young musicians.
